Gameloft Cell Phone Games: Tropical Madness and Dogz

Dec 27, 2006

Gameloft's got the sweet games you need to make your cell phone (the one you use to stay in touch with your friends, enemies and sometimes even your family), the coolest one on the block! Gary checked out two of their games - Tropical Madness for some classic coin-collecting platform-jumping action, and the virtual pet game Dogz. Here are his game reviews!

Gameloft: Tropical Madness Game Review

You're a cute and fuzzy forest critter with a whole family of cute and fuzzy forest critters to hang out with. Until they get captured! Now it's up to you to curl up into a ball and race through levels packed with jumps, traps, power-ups, collectible items, monsters and more jungle madness. It's an excellent game and a great way to put your skills to the test with your cell phone. Just watch out when you change direction, the boost button is in the middle of the controller and you can end up going off a ledge!

Tropical Madness Thumbs Up:

  • Cute critters to rescue!
  • Lots of classic video game action.
  • So cheap! Just $3 US.

Tropical Madness Thumbs Down:

  • Easy to hit the boost when changing direction.

Gameloft: Dogz Game Review

Taking a dog everywhere can be a pain, unless it's one of Gameloft's Dogz! This virtual puppy game lets you pick a pooch to care for, play with and love. You can take it to the beach, collect toys to play with, train it to do tricks, hit the pool, go for walks to meet the neighbors and play mini-games with your puppy. The biggest problem is that your virtual puppy still makes virtual messes you need to clean up!

Dogz Thumbs Up:

  • Lots of dogs to choose from!
  • Feed, pet, wash and play with your dog.
  • Toys for you and your dog to play with.
  • Train your dog to do tricks!
  • So cheap! Just $3 US.

Dogz Thumbs Down:

  • Virtual dogz = virtual poopz.
