Wow! Can you believe Christmas is already over??? Thanks to all your great suggestions, my holiday went really well. My parents were totally stoked that I got them gift cards cuz now they can pick out their own stuff without me trying to "make them into teenagers". Their words - not mine!
Amy hasn't stopped playing with her new Barbie and I think we've watched the DVD at least 12 times since Christmas day. I got some pretty great gifts too. My parents got me a new MP3 player, which was definitely unexpected. They usually get me something lame like a new sweater, but I guess they were feeling generous (and they pooled resources this year instead of buying us separate presents).
I was just reading Simon's blog and I completely forgot about New Year's plans! I hope I don't get stuck at home playing board games with my family. I'll never hear the end of it from Simon if he spends the night making out with some cute girl and I win a couple rounds of Monopoly! I'll have to call up some of my friends to find out what's going on.

Gift cards are a GREAT idea! Just make sure it's one of those American Express gift cards so they can spend it on what they want. GOOD LUCK!
