Top 10 Love Songs of 2007 (pg. 2)

Feb 13, 2007

#5. Beyonce (Featuring Jay-Z) - Déjà Vu

Real-life power couple Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z don't have any problems keeping the love alive (musically, at least) with a song that captures the obsession that often goes hand-in-hand with love. Anyone who has been in love can relate when Beyonce sings, "Know that I can't get over you/'Cause everything I see is you/ And I don't want no substitute."

#4. JoJo - How to Touch a Girl

Despite its provocative title, this song is NOT about what you think it's about. How to Touch a Girl is about how to touch a girl's heart, and make her fall in love. JoJo continues to take the high road when she sings, "Are you thoughtful and kind? Do you care what's on my mind? Or am I just for show?" It's nice to have a reminder that V-Day is about love, kindness and friendship as much as it is about presents and candy hearts.

#3. Mary J. Blige - Be Without You

Mary J. Blige has been through some serious ups and downs so she knows what real life (and real love) is all about. In Be Without You she gets real about what her relationship is all about. And she knows that you'll relate - "Anybody who's ever loved, ya know just what I feel." We love Mary's love songs and we love her too.

#2. George - Talk to Me

George knows that any good relationship needs plenty of communication. Talk to Me is all about checking in with your lady to see if she's getting what she wants ("I wanna kiss your lips. Is that okay?"). We never find out how the girl in the song answers but we know what we'd say!

#1. Akon - I Wanna Love You

Akon might not be singing about the kind of love that lasts a lifetime. Instead, he's singing about the kind of love that hits you - wham - when you're out on the dance floor, and might only last until the end of the song. Hey, not everyone has found their soul mate yet, so way to keep it real Akon.
