Care and Feeding of Sprites Book Review

C/O Simon & Schuster
Authors: Tony DiTerlizzi & Holly Black
DiTerlizzi and Black bring the International Sprite League to life with another gorgeously illustrated book in the Spiderwick Chronicles. These books are full of fantastic stories about weird creatures and magic in the world around you and this one is for people who want to raise a pet sprite. Is it any good? Here’s our book review.
Care and Feeding of Sprites – Sprite-ology 101
This
slim hardcover book is filled from cover-to-cover with
illustrations of different kinds of sprites as well as info on their behavior and moods. It lets you know which ones make
good pets and which ones will sneak off with your little brother while you’re asleep! (This is a
bad thing, no matter how annoying he is.) It also gives general info on keeping sprites, including how to look for
goblins, and get an invite to the
International Sprite League where you can meet other sprite collectors.
Care and Feeding of Sprites – Magic and Fun
The most amazing thing about this book is the
artwork, it’s absolutely fantastic.
Tony DiTerlizzi draws everything and he’s an
incredible artist. The book is also
fun to read and full of
funny facts.
Care and Feeding of Sprites – Some Sprites Bite!
As cool as this book is, it’s
incredibly short! At less than
50 pages long you can read it in just a few hours and, unless you join the
online International Sprite League.
Care and Feeding of Sprites – Good or Ghastly?
This is a
fantastic read with
incredible artwork. It’s also part of a great series of books called the
Spiderwick Chronicles. And, finally, the
International Sprite League is a fun club with videos, pictures,
games and more.
