Become a master explorer and camping pro with the Explorer Ops outdoor gear from Wild Planet! Here’s our review.

With winter wrapping up it’s time to plan camping trips and hiking adventures again! Get ready to face the great outdoors with the new Explorer Ops outdoor gear from Wild Planet. It’s part toy and part working gear! Here’s the 411 on each kit.

EXplorer Ops Outdoor Gear - Pathfinder Tool

Loaded with a compass, flashlight, magnifying lens, long-range scope and tweezers this kit is full of tools! The tweezers and magnifying lens are weak, but the blue-light flashlight is surprisingly strong and even comes with batteries. Make sure to clip it to your belt so you don’t lose it when you’re hiking.

EXplorer Ops Outdoor Gear - Binoculars

With enough power to spot a squirrel at 100 feet, these binoculars will help you find the nearest bathroom-sized bush without having to walk a mile when you have to pee. Perfect! Get your parents to help you set up the fiddly neck strap, or just keep it in the belt pouch, and you’re ready for the great outdoors.

EXplorer Ops Outdoor Gear - Survival Watch

Not just any watch has a compass, thermometer, mirror, magnifying lens and Velcro strap you can use to make that scritch-scritch noise to drive your sister nuts. But this one does! The magnifying lens is way better than the Pathfinder Tool’s, and the watch has a compass so you don’t need the Pathfinder Tool if you have one of these. The only bummer is that you can’t set the alarm for more than a day ahead – at least it has a snooze mode for when you need those extra five minutes of zzzz's…

EXplorer Ops Outdoor Gear - Thumbs Up

  • Cool camping gear that doesn’t cost $$$.
  • The binoculars are great for cheating at hide and go seek!
  • The watch alarm has a snooze button!
  • EXplorer Ops Outdoor Gear - Thumbs Down

  • Skip the Pathfinder Tool, just get the Survival Watch.
  • The Pathfinder Tool and Binoculars need a belt.
  • EXplorer Ops Rating: 4
    Age: 5 and up.
    Price Range: 1

    Price Range Legend
    $0-$15 = 1
    $16-$30 = 2
    $31-$45 = 3
    $46-$60 = 4
    $60+ = 5

Disney's Toontown Online Score - 8 Description - Disney's Toontown Online, or Toontown, as most people call it, is a game about anthromorphic animals called Toons whose fun and happy lands are invaded by the evil, fun-hating business robots called Cogs. How To Play -  The player creates a Toon.  After the Toon is created, you are sent to the Toontorial (the tutorial).  The Toontorial shows your the basics of the game.  After you finish the Toontorial, you are given quests called Toontasks.  Now you have begun your fun Toon adventure! Safety - There are three types of chat: Speedchat, Speedchat Plus, and True Friends.  Speedchat is a list of canned phrases which you can click on to chat.  Speedchat Plus allows you to talk more freely; however you can only type in approved words; otherwise the censored word will appear as your Toon species' sound.  True Friends chat is a way for you to connect to your real life friends more easily; there is no filter; however True Friends chat is moderated heavily. Game Status - As of two thousand and ten - two thousand and thirteen, the game has been slowly falling apart.  The community is filled with griefers and script-kiddies, even (very rarely) real hackers.  Also, Disney is not doing a very good job of keeping the game family-friendly.  I would be very careful in the districts Toon Valley, Nutty River, and Nutty Summit, as these districts are hacker and griefer hotspots.
