Sindy: You are also fans of live performance (cheerleading, school plays, etc.) - would you like to break into acting at some point?
Janelle: Definitely! We just love to entertain so we would love to [KWLINK 4109]break into acting[/KWLINK].

Sindy: What is your favorite cheer and/or cheer stunt?
Jessica: I liked the cheers, but my favorite part of being a cheerleader was the half-time dances and pep rally performances. We love football so bein' so close to the field was a plus. Haha!
Janelle: I liked doin' basket tosses! But dancing was the best part of cheer. Cheer was the closest thing to dance at our school.

Sindy: Do you think your Latin background has helped or hindered your success?
Jessica: Latin cultures are very family oriented, so growin' up we had a lot of support, which helped with our confidence and made us better people. So in that perspective I think it helped with our success.

Sindy: You describe your style as "chilosa" - what does that mean to you?
Jessica: Chilosa to us means sassy, fun-spirited, and independent
Janelle: Yeah, like the girl next door with that extra little spice ;)
Jessica: It's a word - to us - that describes a part of every girl. We all have a little chilosa in us.

Sindy: Who do you think are good role models in Hollywood today?
Jessica: We love Tyra Banks; she's so real and she helps people all the time.

Sindy: How do you feel about becoming a role model for young girls? What do you think your responsibilities are, if any?
Jessica: I think its an amazing thing to be a role model for young women. I remember looking up to artists when I was younger - it's crazy to be on the other side.
Janelle: I think our responsibilities as role models are just to be positive and stand strong for what we believe.

Sindy: What are your favorite movies?
Jessica: I love comedy! I like Talladega Nights and Night at the Roxbury - Will Ferrell is my favorite! Ooh, and The Notebook - I'm such a hopeless romantic!
Janelle: Some of my favorite movies are Transformers and Kung Pao.

Sindy: TV shows?
Jessica: Flight of the Conchords!!! I love those guys! I also like Entourage, The Simpsons and So You Think You Can Dance!
Janelle: The Simpsons, Entourage and That '70s Show.

Sindy: Books?
Jessica: I don't have any favorites, but I love reading novels and poetry books.
Janelle: I really liked She Said Yes and The Diary of Anne Frank.

Sindy: When you were in school, what were your must-have back-to-school items?
Jessica: New clothes!
Janelle: ...and [KWLINK 4758]make-up!!! Haha!

Sindy: Do you have any advice for kids looking to follow in your footsteps and break into the entertainment industry?
Janelle: Don't let where you come from discourage you from makin' your dreams come true.
Jessica: Never let anybody or anything stop you from doin' what you love. If you believe you can do it, that's all that matters.
