Sum 41 and Jonas Brothers CD Reviews

Canadian rock veterans Sum 41 have dropped their fifth album and relative newbies Jonas Brothers are on to round two. We've got the 411 on both albums.
Sum 41 - Underclass Hero
Sum 41's fifth studio album,
Underclass Hero, has just hit shelves and has already broken into
Billboard's top 10. The pop-punk album breaks away from
Sum 41's younger, rawer sound, but struggles to replace it with a cohesive new one. The one standout track is the ballad
So Long Goodbye, which is bound to get a ton of radio play. However, Sum 41's copycat sound (think
Blink-182 meets
The Black Parade meets lame) is mostly disappointing.

Jonas Brothers - Jonas Brothers
The
Jonas Brothers' sophomore album shows a
more polished side of the Jonas boys, compared to their first album It's About Time. Their sound is parent-friendly (no trash talking from these
Christian boys) and catchy. If you're a rock devotee, these guys could be
too tame for your tastes, but if you're looking for the male equivalent of
Hannah Montana, you've just found your boys!
