The new Pokemon and Diamond era of the Pokemon Trading Card Game is here and the first expansion is out - Mysterious Treasures! This set is full of new stuff including new Sinnoh-region Pokemon to collect, new ways for Pokemon to recover from Special Conditions, new Legendary Pokemon and more. Gary grabbed a batch of cards, except for the new Armor Fortress and Skull Charge Theme Decks, and here's his Pokemon card game review!
Pokemon TCG: Mysterious Treasures - Revealing the Mysteries!
There are more than
120 cards in this set and
25 of them are
new Pokemon you've never been able to catch before! Unfortunately, the legendary
Azelf,
Mesprit and
Uxie are useless unless you have all three together. There are
Pokemon holding berries, which let them heal from
Special Conditions without using
Trainer Cards. Unfortunately there are only a few and it's not a powerful ability. What is powerful is that lots of new Pokemon unleash
explosive powers when they
evolve!

Pokemon TCG: Mysterious Treasures - Treasure or Trash?
The
legendary Pokemon are weak, the
berry-holding ability is so-so and the
Theme Decks are a mystery so far. Unless you really gotta collect 'em all, stick to the original
Pokemon Diamond & Pearl expansion set.
