Author: John Feinstein
Stevie Thomas and Susan Carol are sports writers. But for some reason, they always end up becoming detectives instead! Together they have solved crimes at the Final Four and the US Open. Can they work their magic again when a scandal erupts at the Super Bowl?
Cover Up - Book Basics
Cover Up is the
final installment of author John Feinstein's trilogy of Stevie and Susan's adventures in solving sports mysteries. This time, the two 14 year-olds become co-anchors on a
sports TV show for teenagers. Not long after, the network replaces Stevie with an older, better looking male anchor. Although Stevie and Susan are
separated, they will meet back up at the
Super Bowl - Stevie joins a local newspaper and will cover the game for them.
Cover Up - Another Scandal?
It seems like
trouble follows Susan and Stevie everywhere they go. In the past two books, they survived a blackmail scandal at the Final Four and a kidnapping at the
US Open. This time, they tackle a controversy at the World's most watched event - the Super Bowl. At a party, Susan finds out from a
drunk team doctor that the entire offensive line for his Los Angeles Dreams have failed a
drug test. If this is true, then the players would be suspended for the big game. To make matters worse, the owner of the Dreams is fully aware and is trying to
cover it up.
Cover Up - Can They do it Again?
With everybody involved being silent, Stevie and Carol might be
in over their heads proving this case. Who will believe them? What kind of proof do they have? It is going to take a lot of
brains and creativity for the pair to
bring justice for sports
fans across the world.
Cover Up - Bottom Line
Cover Up's got something
for everybody. If you are a sports fan, you are going to love this book - author John Feinstein is a real life sports writer. If you have read the previous installments of this
trilogy you will enjoy how Susan and Stevie go about
solving this mystery. If you like romance, you get to read up and see if there is any
love brewing between the two sports junkies. All in all, this is a
fun read - it keeps you interested from start to finish!
