theyre green, like a summer meadow. in a world of blues, i stand out. i walk to school, and look down. "greens" or green eyed people, are considered outcasts in pharnka, my home country. there used to be a time when nothing about appearance mattered! but now, greens are treated like dirt. i arrive, and several of the people at school have fun deliberately bumping into me, including one of the teachers.

i walk past ben, my only friend. he's a green too, and i've developed a crush on him, from the way his hair falls into his face, and... well... everything! we walk to class together, and he sheilds me from any more bumps. before he leaves to sit at his desk, he sneaks a kiss onto my cheek. it shocks me, and i felt happier than i had ever felt in a long time. i was in love!
