I Remember - A PewDieCry fanfiction
Sometime, I want to ask you… Do you remember that one night?
I really doubt you do, though. There’s no reason to, either. You’re living a happy life with your girlfriend, Marzia, in Italy. But, sometimes you should think about that one night.
“How’s it going, bros? My name is PewDiePie, and this time, we’re playing Happy Wheels!!!”
Ryan was sitting in front of his monitor, his face resting on the back of his hand. His other hand was on his computer mouse and his index finger was resting on the scroll wheel. His bright blue eyes, which were resting behind his glasses, were half lidded as he stared at the Swedish commentator was playing the game.
Ryan sighed and clicked the pause button on the video, then scrolled his mouse up to the search bar and typed in one word; September. When the videos all popped up, he clicked the first video titled, “September by: Earth, Wind and Fire.” The music started playing, and a small smile spread across the Floridian’s face. He sat up straight, and then looked over to his bed. Of course, it wasn’t made, since right when he got up he recorded a video to upload onto his channel. But, lying on the bed was a white mask.
Ryan got up from the chair, walked over to his bed, then picked up the mask and smiled. He put it on over his face – making sure that he tied the string tight around his head – and turned back to where the computer was. He sat back down on the chair and minimized the window, then opened a new one and logged into Tumbler. He got onto PewDiePie’s page, then started typing a message to Pewds. He took his hands off of the keyboard when he was done, and read over the message. It said,
“Hey, Pewds. I was wondering, could I come over to your house in Italy? It’s time we meet in person, don’t you agree? ‘K.
Your friend, Cry.”
It sounded pretty stupid, but it was the best he could come up with at this time. It’s a little awkward sending a message to Felix, since they usually talked over Steam. But it would do. Well, at least for now.
All Ryan had to do now was wait.
Felix was all alone in his house, cleaning it up. His girlfriend, Marzia, was visiting her parents over the weekend, so he was left to be by himself.
“Agh, it’s boring being alone.” Felix had picked up a statue of Stephano that a bro had made and started cleaning it up. “I wish someone was here. Then it wouldn’t be so lonely here.” Felix put the small statue back on the shelf, then reached over and grabbed a little stuffed doll of a Sup Guy another bro had sent him at one point. He stared at the doll for a minute with his blue eyes, then a smile spread across his face. “Cry....” The Swedish man sighed, then set the doll back up on the shelf.
After about an hour or so, Felix had finished up cleaning up the house. He let out a big sigh, then looked over onto his computer. “I guess I could check my Tumbler now, since I’m done.” The Swedish man walked over to his computer, sat down in his chair - which he nicknamed ‘Mr. Chair’ - and logged in onto his account. He had noticed that he had gotten a few messages. “Oh, they’re probably just from some bros.” Felix laughed, then clicked on the message button. He looked through some of the messages. When he had gotten to the last message, he instantly froze.
It was a message from Cry.
It was a bit strange, since usually they only talked via Steam. He wondered what his American friend wanted, so he read through his message.
“Cry wants to come over to Italy...?” Felix asked to himself out loud. He grinned, and started typing a reply to Cry.
“Sure thing, Cry! You can come over whenever you want, since Marzia is off visiting her parents this weekend. But yeah, come over to Italy when you have the time!
Your friend, Pewds.”
This would be fun.
Italy’s a beautiful place. There’s great attractions like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, not to mention that there are many beautiful little places you could visit like Sicily or Rome. But, none of those major things mattered right now.
A plane had just landed in a airport in Italy. More specifically, an airport in San Paolo, Italy.
“Welcome to San Paolo, Italy,” a woman said over the airplane intercom. “We please wait until the plane comes to a halt to get your belongings and get off.” The woman’s voice faded.
Ryan was looking out of one of the airplane windows, his blue eyes were half lidded (though you couldn’t tell, since he was wearing his mask over his face). It was a pain getting on the plane, since several girls were following him onto the plane since they were crazy fangirls that were subscribed to his channel. How did they find him? He didn’t know; people had their ways of finding him.
After a few minutes, the plane had landed and came to a halt. People had started standing up and evacuating the plane, but Ryan stayed seated. He decided it would be best to wait till everyone got off of the plane to get up and leave. So, when everyone else had left the plane, Ryan had gotten onto his feet and picked up a black bag he had brought onto the plane with him. After he had picked up his bag, he walked out of the plane and into the airport lobby. He had to find his friend now, wherever he was.
Ryan had went over in his head what him and his friend had said on Tumbler.
“I’ll be waiting at the airport for you, Cry. So you don’t have to worry about finding my house!” Felix had sent to Ryan over Tumbler.
“‘K, look around for a guy with a white mask and brown hair,” Ryan had replied to the Swedish man.
So, the question was, where was Felix...?
Ryan glanced around the airport. The whole airport was crowded with people, but but out of all of those people, he couldn’t see his Swedish friend. And he probably wouldn’t be able too, since it was very crowded. Ryan sighed, then sat down on the bench. He would just wait here until he found Felix wandering around the airport.
If he could stay awake, that is.
Ryan felt himself dozing off a couple of times. “I need to stay awake,” Ryan told himself, shaking his head. If he didn’t stay awake, he’d never be able to find Felix. As much as he wanted to stay awake, drowsiness took over and he fell asleep.
“Pewds?!” Ryan yelled, looking around the room. Ryan had gotten trapped in this room when him and Felix had gotten lost. Ryan thought that maybe - just maybe - that Felix might of been in this room. But, he was wrong. He twisted the doorknob several times, but it wouldn’t budge. Tired, Ryan let go of the doorknob and put his back against the wall, sliding down it and sitting on the ground. Ryan lifted his mask up off of his face and wiped his forehead. He wondered, where was his friend anyways? How had they gotten separated in the first place? They were walking down the hall, and he had looked away. When he looked back, he was gone.
But it was like Felix to just wander off like an idiot and get lost, being the curious person he is. He does that alot.
It was strange how this was a lot like when they were playing horror games together, like Left 4 Dead or Cry of Fear. They’d usually go wandering around and one of them would get separated from the other. That, or one would usually get scared and kill the other one. And Felix was the one usually killing Ryan, since... Well, Felix got scared easily.
Ryan sighed, then looked up at the ceiling with a blank expression on his face. He was trying to think of what he could do. He looked down around the room. It was completely empty. No guns or crowbars on the ground, no furniture. Absolutely nothing.
So much for getting out.
Ryan looked back at the ceiling, trying plan a way to get out. He could try to run into the door and knock it down, but that probably wouldn’t work. So really, there was nothing he could do. All he could do is wait until Felix could find him... If he could find him, that is. He sighed, then moved his hand over his eyes.
“I guess I could just rest for a little while....” Ryan said to himself, closing his eyes. “I’ll know when Pewds get here, right...?”
So, Ryan lied in the room, trying to fall asleep. It was pretty easy to rest in here, since no one else was in the room. But, right when Ryan was about to fall asleep, a loud crash! came from the other side of the door.
“W-what’s that...?” Ryan said, pressing his back closer to the wall. “I-is it a monster...?”
Another crash was heard from the other side of the door.
“Cry? Cry!” Ryan heard coming from the other side of the door, with a couple of cracking sounds following. The door broke open and pieces of crushed wood hit the floor. Ryan rubbed his eyes, then saw that Felix was standing where the door once was.
It was pretty awkward, since Ryan had taken his mask off. Because, you know, he never showed his face.
“P-Pewds...?” Ryan said, his eyes widening. He quickly pulled down his mask over his face, but it was too late. Felix had already seen what he looked like. There was no hiding it now. Whatever. He quickly stumbled up to his feet and stared at the Swedish man.
“Cry!!!” Felix yelled, running over and wrapping his arms around the Floridian tightly. “I was so worried about you! I thought I would never find you again!!!”
A blush formed across Ryan’s face. He smiled, then hugged Felix back. “Don’t worry about it, Pewds,” Ryan said. “You should know I’ll be fine.”
Felix pulled away, tears forming in his face.
You know Felix, he could be such a crybaby about some things.
“B-bu-but Cry, I was really worried!!!” Felix said. “I thought some sort of monster took you and ra-”
“Pewds, don’t go that far.” Ryan interrupted Felix, putting a hand over his mouth. “I don’t think that would happen.” He took his hand off of Felix’s mouth.
“B-but, it could've!!!” Felix said, tears rolling down his face.
“I think a monster would do that to you before they’d do that to me,” Ryan said, letting out a laugh.
This caused Felix to break out into a smile, and let out a shaky laugh. That didn’t make him stop crying, though. “H-hah... I guess you’re right, Cry...” Felix said.
The two stayed silent for a couple of minutes. Ryan was looking around and Felix kept his eyes on Ryan.
“So, uh... Ryan,” Felix said, breaking the silence. “Why did you have your mask off...? You usually have your mask on.”
Ryan stayed silent for a moment. He really couldn’t answer. “Well, uh... I was alone. When I’m alone, I usually don’t have my mask on,” Ryan explained.
“Oh, I get it,” Felix said, wiping the tears off of his face. “You looked so handsome, Cry.” Felix laughed.
Ryan smiled. “Thank you, kind sir.” He laughed slightly, then stopped. “Well, uh... Will you keep my identity a secret....?” He asked.
Felix thought for a moment, then nodded. “You’re secret’s safe with me, Cry,” Felix said. “Only if you take it off for me again. Since I didn’t get a good enough look.”
Ryan thought for a moment, then nodded. “Well, uh.... ‘K.” Ryan said. He lifted his mask up so that it was resting on the top of his head, then looked down at the ground. “Just... Don’t make fun of me.”
Felix laughed, then shook his head. “Don’t worry about it, Cry. You’re beautiful.” He grabbed the mask that was resting on top of Ryan’s dark, brown hair. He stared at the mask for a minute, then put it on over his face. “Now I’m you, Cry!”
Ryan started laughing again. “I have to admit, you’re an awesome cosplayer of me.”
Felix nodded. “Hello, and welcome to Cry and Pewds play....” He started to imitate Ryan’s voice, then paused. “Uh... A random horror game.”
Ryan laughed. “Wow, you do an amazing impression of me.”
“I know, Cry. I know.” Felix laughed, lifting the mask off of his face. He kept the smile on his face for a minute, but then it disappeared. “Uh... Cry.... Can I ask you something...?”
Ryan stopped laughing, then nodded. “Uh, sure. What is it, Pewds...?”
“Well, uh...” Felix froze for a minute. “Do you... Like anyone...?”
Ryan’s face turned a bright red. Should admit his feelings for the Swedish man, or should he just lie? “Um... Well, yeah. I like someone...” Ryan said.
Felix nodded, smiling slightly. “I like someone too, Cry.”
Ryan rolled his eyes. Of course Felix liked someone; he liked Marzia. Felix had a girlfriend, so it was no doubt that he would like her. “I know that, silly. You like Marzia,” Ryan replied. He glanced down at the ground, then sighed.
Felix stared at him for a moment, then sighed and shook his head. “No, Cry... You don’t really understand, do you?” He cupped his hand around the Floridian’s chin and showed a smile.
Ryan blinked, and stared into Felix eyes. “Y-you don’t...?” Ryan said, his face turning redder. “W-who do you like, then...?”
Felix smiled grew. “I like you, Cry,” he said, a blush slightly forming across his face.
It felt like Ryan’s heart skipped a beat. Ryan took a gulp, then glanced away. “F-for realsies....?” He asked.
Felix nodded. “For realsies.”
Ryan couldn’t help but smile. He looked back into Felix’s eyes. “I like you too, Pewds. I like you a lot.”
Felix’s blush grew a little darker. “I’m glad you do, Cry,” Felix said. He started leaning in, his eyes closing. He was going in for a kiss.
Ryan hesitated for a minute, then sighed and started leaning in, also. He could finally kiss Felix. This was the best moment of his life. Ever.
Just as their lips were about to connect, Felix had said something. “Hey, Cry...?”
Ryan blinked. “Yeah...?”
Oh crap. Did he just say to wake up...?
“Wake up,” Felix said again. He started to slightly fade away. When he faded away, there was a flash.
Ryan opened his eyes, looking around to see where he was. He saw that he was no longer in the airport, instead he was in a car. He was strapped to the seat, so he really couldn’t turn around to see what was going on.
“Looks like you finally woke up,” a voice said.
Ryan blinked and sat up straight, looking over to where the voice came from. He saw that a man with dirty blonde hair was driving the car. “H-huh...?” Ryan rubbed his eyes, then blinked. “P-pewds....?”
Felix looked over at Ryan, then smiled. “You’ve been sleeping for quite a while now. It took me awhile to get you to the car.” He said.
Ryan blushed, looking down at the floor. “O-oh... Sorry, Pewds.”
“Don’t worry about it, Cry,” Felix said, letting out a laugh. “You’re not that heavy. You’re actually pretty light.”
What Felix said just made Ryan blush more. “O-oh.... ‘K....” Ryan simply said. It was hard for Ryan to find words when he was embarrassed. When he got embarrassed, he just said a few words in a sentence. Sometimes, he said nothing at all. It’s just how he was.
Felix laughed again, looking back forwards. “By the way, you kept on saying things while you were sleeping. And you blushed sometimes. What were you dreaming about?” Felix asked.
Ryan blinked, keeping his eyes down on the car floor. “U-uh... I really can’t remember... I forgot,” Ryan lied, glancing back up. He didn’t look at Felix, though. He just looked out the window.
Felix thought for a minute, then shrugged. “I was just wondering, since some of the things you said were interesting,” he said. He shook his head, then glanced back over at Ryan. “Hey, do you want to listen to music...?”
Ryan glanced over at Felix, then nodded. “Uh, sure. If you want.” He nodded.
Felix nodded, then took one hand off of the steering wheel and turned on the car radio and 80’s music of some sort started playing. There were no lyrics yet, it was just music. After about 10 seconds, a man started singing.
“Do you remember....? The twenty first night of September?”
‘Oh god,’ Ryan thought in his head, his eyes widening. ‘This song...’ Ryan shook his head and looked away.
Felix smiled. “Hey, I like this song,” Felix said.
Ryan slightly nodded. “Ah, same....” Ryan said, glancing over at Felix.
“Hey, Cry. Remember that one time when we were playing Portal 2?” Felix asked.
Ryan blushed slightly, nodding. “Uh, yeah... I do...”
Felix laughed. “Ah, good times. It was fun playing that game with you.”
Ryan blinked. ‘What, does Felix not remember when he said.... “Do you remember September...?”’ Ryan asked himself in his head. He took a breath, then nodded. “Yeah, it was fun.” He let out a slight laugh.
Felix blinked, glancing over at Ryan. “You’re acting awkward, Ryan.” Felix said, tilting his head slightly to the side. “Is something wrong?”
“H-huh? No...” Ryan said, shaking his head. “I’m fine, don’t worry about it.”
Felix looked back forward. “Well, if you say so, Cry,” Felix said.
The rest of the ride to Felix’s house was pretty awkward. The two didn’t say anything to each other for the rest of the way home. They just listened to the music that was playing.
Felix’s car pulled up to his house and looked over at Ryan with a smile. “We’re here,” he said, unbuckling his seat belt.
Ryan looked out of the window at Felix’s house. “‘K.” Ryan said, unbuckling his seat belt, also. He opened the car door, and got out of the car. He gently closed the door behind him, then looked up at the house.
Felix got out of the car, also. He looked over at Ryan and tilted his head to the side. “Well, do you think it’s nice?” he asked.
Ryan looked over at Felix and nodded. “Yeah, it’s pretty nice. I like it,” Ryan said, smiling.
Felix closed the car door. “Tack!” He said in Swedish.
Ryan looked at him with a confused look. “Tack?” he said. “What does that mean?”
Felix let out a slight laugh. “It means, ‘thanks,’ in Swedish,” he said.
Ryan blinked, then nodded. “Oh, I get it,” Ryan smiled. “I should've known that you would try to speak some Swedish while I’m here.” He slightly laughed.
Felix nodded, walking up the the door and digging around in his pocket. “Hm, where did I put my keys...?” Felix asked to himself out loud.
“Huh, can you not find your keys?” Ryan asked, tilting his head to the side. “I can help you, if you want.”
Felix looked back at Ryan and shook his head. “Oh, no. It’s fine,” Felix said, digging around in his pocket some more. He pulled out his keys and grinned. “Found them,” he said. Felix opened up the door and looked back at Ryan. “After you.”
“Uh.... ‘K. Thanks.” Ryan walked into the house.
Ryan noticed that the house was nice and organized. “Nice place you’ve got here, Pewds,” he said. He looked over and saw Felix’s computer monitor sitting on his desk, along with his headphones and microphone.
“That’s where all of the magic happens, Cry,” Felix laughed.
“Oh, ‘K. I see. That’s what it looks like,” Ryan slightly laughed, then looked at the shelves and saw the plushie of the Sup Guy sitting on one the top shelf. “What’s that?”
Felix closed the door. “Oh, that? One of my fans sent me that.”
Ryan stared at it for a minute. “Wow, you get a lot from your bros...” He saw a bro mask and claw sitting on another shelf. And, on another shelf, there was a statue of Stephano.
“I know. I guess it’s pretty cool, but sometimes I don’t like getting so much fan mail.”
Ryan shrugged. “It’s better than nothing.”
“Do you get any fan mail from fans, Cry?”
Ryan looked at the ground. “Eh, not really...”
“Hey, don’t worry about it, Cry.” Felix smiled. “You know, I could make you something.”
Ryan blushed and stared at Felix. “No, it’s ok, Pewds.... You don’t have to do that.”
“Aw, come on, Cryyyyy~” Felix whined. “You must want something, right...? It’s fine. I can make you something...”
Ryan shook his head. “No, Pewds... It’s fine, really. I don’t need anything.”
“B-but... Cry...” Felix teared up. He was trying to get Ryan to say yes, but Ryan knew what he was trying to do.
“Pewds, no.” Ryan shook his head, and sighed. “Don’t cry, It’s fine.”
Felix blinked, then tilted his head. He stayed silent for a minute, then sighed. “Well, alright Cry. If you say so.” Felix thought to himself, then smiled again. “Hey, do you want something to eat?”
Ryan nodded slightly. “Uh, sure. If it’s not too much to ask.”
Felix shook his head. “Don’t worry about it, Cry. It’s not too much to ask me for.” Felix turned around, then walked out of the room and into the kitchen. “You can just stay in the other room!”
Ryan nodded, then looked around. He sat down on the couch and sighed. What could he do while Felix was cooking? He sighed, then dug around in his pocket, trying to find something. He pulled out a small pocket notebook - with a pencil - and stared at it. “I guess I could draw...”
Ryan started sketching a drawing of two Sup Guys. Why? He had no idea. That’s pretty much all he could draw really well. Oh well. Ryan titled his head to the side as he kept on drawing.
After Ryan was finished sketching the outline of the two Sup Guys, he sighed and lifted his hand and pencil off of the paper. He glanced around, then looked into the other room, seeing that Felix was cooking. “Good...” He quietly whispered to himself. He lifted his mask off so it was off of his face and resting on his head. “It’s annoying wearing that mask all the time...” He adjusted his glasses, looked back down at the paper, and begun drawing again.
Suddenly, there was a scream from the other room. Ryan hardly pressed his pencil against the paper, and the led snapped.
“CRRRY!!!” Felix screamed, running into the other room. “There’s a huge spider in the other room!!!”
Ryan looked back at Felix, and just stared at him with wide eyes.
“HELP ME GET THE SPIDER OUT OF THE RO-” Felix froze, and his eyes widened. He closed his mouth, and just stared at Ryan.
Ryan stared at him with a confused look on his face. “What’s wrong? Why are you staring at me like that?”
Felix stayed silent, just looking at him. Ryan just realized why Felix was staring at him like that.
His mask. It’s off.
“O-oh god.” Ryan quickly pulled his mask down over his face. He quickly stood up, and walked past Felix. “I’ll kill it...”
Felix blinked, watching Ryan walking into the other room. “Cry...” Felix just said, wide eyed.
Ryan stood in his steps, then glanced back at Felix. “What? I know, I look ugly. Now, please stop staring. It’s rude.” He grabbed a towel and picked the spider up with it.
“No, Cry. That’s not it...” Felix started saying, but then stopped and sighed. He couldn’t say it, he couldn’t say that he looked... What was the word? Beautiful? No. Cute? Not quite. Handsome? Sure, that’s the word.
Ryan shook his head, then walked over to the screen door and opened it, throwing the spider out and closing it quickly. “Whatever... It’s fine, I know I don’t look good...” He said, walking past Felix again.
Felix frowned, grabbing Ryan’s hand. “No, Cry. That’s not what I was trying to say...”
Ryan blinked, then looked back Felix. He stared at him for a minute, then looked back forward. “Felix... Let go of me... Come on.”
Felix didn’t let go of Ryan’s arm. Instead, he pulled Ryan closer to him and wrapped his arms around him into a tight hug. “No.”
Ryan felt his face getting hotter and his heart starting to beat faster. “...P-pewds....?” Ryan gulped, stiffening up.
Felix shook his head, then turned Ryan around so he was facing him. He lifted Ryan’s mask up gently. “Cry, you’re beautiful; handsome, in fact. Don’t worry about it, I like the way you look.”
Ryan’s blush got deeper as he looked up at Felix. He slightly smiled. “‘K... Thanks, Pewds...” He glanced down at the ground.
Felix stared at him, his smile growing. “Hey, Cry...?”
“Yeah...?” Ryan glanced back up.
Ryan stared at him, wide eyed. “September...?”
Felix nodded. “September.”
Ryan’s smile grew into a full smile. “I remember, also.”
Felix smiled. “It’s good to know that...”
Ryan nodded, staying silent for a minute. He thought, should he kiss Felix, or not...? He thought for a minute, then stood up on his toes and quickly kissed his friend on the lips. He then went flat on his feet and glanced back down at the ground.
A blush formed across Felix’s face. He stared down at Ryan with wide eyes. He then gently lifted Ryan’s head up and leaned in, kissing him on the lips. Ryan stiffened up slightly, but then relaxed and kissed back, wrapping his arms around Felix’s neck.
After about a minute or so of kissing, Felix pulled away and stared down at Ryan, gently stroking his cheek with his thumb.
Ryan smiled. “Hey, Pewds...?”
“I love you.”
“I love you too, Cry.”
Felix laughed. “For realsies.”
After that, the two stayed silent for a few minutes as they gazed into each other's eyes and hugged. They stopped when Felix broke the silence.
“I think the food’s ready,” Felix slightly laughed.
Ryan laughed also. “It is? Awesome. Let’s eat!”
Felix nodded, grabbing onto Ryan’s hands. “Yeah, let’s.”
Well, at least I know now.
You do remember September.
And I’m glad you remember, too.
Because I love you, and now I know you do, too.
