I was wondering if you could help me.
There is this boy I like at school named Andy. He likes me, for my looks. He doeesnt really like me because I dont talk to him. He likes girls who talk to him and stuff. The only thing the dude does is prance around saying I am pretty...THATS IT! And I wrote a note to him saying that if he could go with me to the Culmination Dance coming soon at the end of the year.We where going to but I still never got the nerve to talk to Andy. ANd today on Friday May 11,2007 aftersckool his ex-girlfriend Mayra told me he didnt want to go with me anymore. I told my friend Andrea who is close friends with Mayra a little and she said that ANdy told her NOT to tell me. I got upset. Not because Andy doesnt want to go with me to the dance, but because Andy would have the nerve to stand me up. I mean and also telling my BFF Andrea not to tell me. She never would have told me if I would have said anything. What type of friend IS SHE? And what type of boy is Andy? Mayra told Anrea that Im soo not right for Andy and Im not his type and lalala you get it right? SO...
He gets xxxxed at me cuz I DONT talk to him. Should I write a note to him?
SHOULD I CALL HIM?
SHOULD I TALK TO HIM IN PERSON?
WHAT IS THE SAFEST MOST BESTEST MOST BETTEREST MOST FUNNEST WAY INTO ANDY AND OUT HIM?

This is a question Ix#8217xve gotten surprisingly often. And no matter who it is, or what age. I always give about the same answer.


It doesnx#8217xt matter if you feel youx#8217xre ready.

It doesnx#8217xt matter if youx#8217xre going to use protection.

It doesnx#8217xt even matter how much you trust and love your boyfriend/girlfriend.


You just should NOT do it. And herex#8217xs why. [This is something I typed up in reply to someone asking if they should have sex] Note- it was written to a 14 year old girl, but the parts about saving your virginity apply to boys too, and both genders of any age.


Sex is a seriously emotional thing, and most girls that have sex before marriage, seriously regret it. There are too many complications. Even with protection, there''s still a risk of getting pregnant, or contracting a sexually transmitted disease. Consider it, what if you got pregnant? You''re only 14 do you really think you could handle a child? And being so young, your body''s probably not even ready for giving birth.


Even if you do not become pregnant or contract a disease you will have lost a great part of you. You''re a beautiful young woman, [or strong young man] with a great gift: Virginity. That purity is something so precious, it can only be given once. When you give it away, it should be with a ring on your finger, and the man or woman receiving it should be your husband [or wife]. Even if you trust this boy or [girl], you will probably not marry him [or her], and don''t you want your husband [or w to be your first?


There are other ways of getting close to your significant other. Try something emotional, not physical, like finding a game you both love to play, or a favorite movie to watch.


I don''t mean to preach, but this is an issue I feel very strongly about. Even if you disregard my words, please seriously consider having sex. It will change your life, and NOT for the better.

I do not care if you said NOT to debate this, having sex is NATURAL! Without it would YOU be her? NO!
What are you trying to do? STOP MANKIND or something? Because if nobody had sex, THAT''S what WOULD happen!

It''s sex out of marriage I''m talking about here. This is a DATING guide on a KIDS site, so talk that into account when reading the advice. Obviously I can''t have anything against sex in marriage between two adults. Take context into account before ranting at someone.
