cheerleading is a sport it takes alot of work to do the stunts and even if your extremely tired you have to keep smiling

Actually, cheerleading is basically gymnastics and singing, so it technically is a sport, seeing as gymnastics is a sport.

Cheerleading is a sport . My sister is a cheerleader. You have so much to do, you train , try out , cry if you don't make it, and go to camp. Just like any other sport , so technically , CHEERLEADING IS A SPORT!

Ive been a cheerleader for 5 years it is a sport! It takes alot of time energy and dedication! PLUS your told to smile the whole time, I say if your sweating while you do it its a SPORT!

But that's the point - it's not just dnacing and cheering. It's a mix of gymnastics, dancing and a loud voice (lol). Gymnastics IS a sport - if it wasn't than why is it in the Olympic games in the first place?
