I'd like to suggest a this vs that forum. Partially because there are a few complaints (and to my understanding, there was a rather heated debate) about s threads in the debate section not really being debates and causing clutter, partially 'cause there's lots of this vs that around in other forums too.

Te result of the debate was that vs threads should be allowed in debating, (to my understanding anyway) as this is a kids site and for some kids, that IS a debate.  I belive that this will be a solution which everyone will be happy with.

I think that the "this vs that" threads are allowed in the debating section, but if they're about food or music, why not just put them in the correct section?  As for other stuff, imagine something like.. "tree vs flower" or something [that was a bad example but yeah] I think they're allowed in the debating section, but if you just put "tree" or "flower" and no explanation of your choice, then it's not really much of a debate, more like a sort of quiz thing.  This is the reason we move them into a more suitable category.

Yes, they are allowed in the debating section and are usually moved to more suitable threads, but as there have been many complaints about them and the ones allowed to stay I have offered this suggestion as a solution.
