Hi~ I`ve been doing dance every since I could walk. I started out with ballet and went into Hip-Hop at when I was about 8-9, I`m 12 now. Ballet! People that don`t take ballet just think its a thing that only girly girls do, they`re wrong. It`s so much fun! It even helps you get flexible so you can impress your friends~haha! If you want to do another type of dance such as Jazz, Lyrical or modern, most studios say that you have to do Ballet too. It stregthens your core. It`s also good if you love performing! Hip-Hop! Some hate, some love. I think its awesome ^_~ Let me just say that I do Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, deep stretch and Hip-Hop. Hip-Hop is the only one that I`m NEVER lazy to go to! It`s like a break from my other dance classes. It`s so layed back and fun! Some people say it`s easy to learn.... It`s not. It takes practice and effort too. JUst like every other dance. I absoloutly love Hip-Hop! In my opinion I would say do both. Only one? Ballet. Why? It affects your posture, your muscles and anything else you can think of! Don`t get me wrong, I LOVE Hip-Hop too! Both. I like hip-hop because it's more energetic and ballet because you learn to be really flexible and balanced.  If my schedule wasn't so crowded I would take them,but I only have time for my jazz class.
