Yes, for one the emergency such as lock down situations that we just saw in Florida. In my school when we go into class if the teacher is going to allow us to use them for the assignment for the day they will tell us to keep them. If not we have to put them in this wooden box when we enter the class and can get them back when class is over.

I really don't understand the "yes in case of emergency" logic. The school's have their own telephones in the office and the reception that can be used in case of emergencies right? What's the need to carry your own phone. In most schools in India, phones are strictly not allowed. Never have I ever in my life seen the necessity of phone. Whenever something comes up, the student can go to the office and use the school's phone. Personally, I think phones should not be allowed in schools. Kids spend too much time on phones anyway. In the free time in school we all have so much fun because we all socialise and stuff. If phones would be allowed I am sure everyone would get glued to it as soon as there's any free period and it would be no fun. Prohibition of phones in school also helps keep discipline and keeps all activities that can violate someone's privacy at bay.

Well the "yes in case there's an emergency applies more when there's a lock down and the office is blocked off  (and you can't get to the telephones because they don't allow us students out)  A scary scene to use as an an example, but yes I can really see no problem with  it, tbh.

I like the idea of a teacher taking away the students' phones during lectures and keeping them in a box. That way students can concentrate fully on their work.

However, I do agree with Simran. I live in India too and during break we have a lot of fun playing or just talking. Of course, loners like me would see no option but to use their phones if they were allowed to take them to school. This just makes us more introverted. Yeah I get that friendships are complicated, because the nice ones and the fake ones all hang out together, but it's important for people like us to socialise and get over our anxiety. It will help us in future.

The stories I can write based on the fear of you.. Is this imagination good or bad?

And how often do such situations arise?
