I am british and im confused on the whole stereo type of 'the posh british'. Shows like the simpsons and family guy portray english people as people who wear monocols and have the same 'posh' accent. I would like to know why people from different countrys belive this Thanks

Yes thats what i was thinking, prehaps the prospect of having a queen makes your country automatically full of poshness lol. God im from the north-east! Jesus, people who think england is posh should visit my town....

-.- No, not really. They're polite, but I wouldn't say stereo typically. It's like asking if Irish people are drunks; they're not. They don't have much more than any other country, just like Britain with poshness. I think it's with the fact that they have a monarch and have some fancy buildings.
