I don't like the new filters.  I'd rather have a mod on all the time.   Here are my reasons why: 1.  If you have any questions about chat, you can ask the mod. 2.  The filter will block stuff when it's fine because it thinks you are giving out "personal info". 3.  The filter will block stuff when it's fine because it think you're "swearing".

The filters are still in testing stage at the minute. In fact, they are so clever as to block out most bad words and some abbreviations of them. The filters also enable us to have the chatroom open for longer each day, as the mods unfortunately cannot manage every timezone in the world, since they live in BC, Canada and the timezones are very different to some people. They are trying to fix the words of which shouldn't be blocked out at the minute, and add more words to the filter to make the chat more safe and secure. Most likely there'll be a mod or someone willing to take charge or tell people the rules when they break them anyway, and the only thing that I can see wrong with it at the minute is that some words aren't blocked out and the spamming cannot be solved yet. Wébsítés are blocked now, and most curse words. We should be very happy with the new concept and how much it is helping out. I know I am.

You could just go to a Mod's profile. If you are not sure of who all of the mods are, just go to the new users thread which is stickied about the mods and admin info. Also, the mods are normally in there when it's the usual hours of chat, anyway. It's just the earlier hours they aren't, since it would be like 7AM there then.

Because it cannot be sure of which context you are saying the words in. Some words in America would be considered as curse words here in England. And vice versa. Some words, yes the chat is blocking them for no reason, but I assure you that the Admins and Mods are aware of it, and they are trying to fix it.
