first you need some water then drowned
Hi Twilight123rocks, I'll give you some advice.
1. Relax before you enter the water. When you are tense it is harder to swim. Just breathe and remember that you are going to be fine.
2. Hold on to the edge of the swimming pool wall and move your feet upwards so that they are pushing against the wall.
3. Let go of the wall with your hands and push hard with your feet. This will give you a good start and make the distance shorter.
4. Push your stomach upwards so that it is above the water. This makes it easier to float and will decrease your chances of sinking.
5. Kick your legs. Try to keep them straight. It may seem harder than bending them, but in the long run its easier.
6. Move one arm upwards and brush it against your ear. Again, keep it relatively straight. Bring it back down and push the water with your hand. Do the same with your other arm and keep repeating. Remember to keep kicking your legs!
Just remember that you will be just fine. You are not going to drown. If you feel yourself sinking, its probably because you're not pushing your stomach up high enough. If you do get in serious trouble, which I doubt, your swimming instructor isn't going to just watch you struggling and will come and get you. Hope this helps!
