There are claims that can be proven and disproved.  

The claim that bats are birds is blatantly wrong by the definition of bird. 

The claim that the yellow cat is yellow is clearly true, by the definition of yellow cat. I don't think I've ever seen a cat that was entirely yellow though. that'd be pretty interesting.
