well, they shouldnt think your weird, nor should they think of you differently based on your beliefs, so...they're not real friends if they dont accept you for being you.

I'm athiest too. I never trash anyone's beliefs but everyone seems hell bent on treating me like devil spawn. Even my dad, I am strictly forbidden to speak of anything non-christian.

This is correct. We are free to choose our worldviews, be it ############, hinduism, teapotism, or even atheism. These all are equal within' values, even though it is a pretty subjective topic to talk about (because you know, if values exist in general anyway; they are human inventions after all).

Personal experience makes a believer out of anyone; that explains the hordes of evolution deniers.

I was making a humorous citing to the Russel's Teapot, that's all Big Grin

I wouldn't even be surprised if it actually existed, Teapotism, that is.

There is nothing wrong with being atheist. AT ALL. Actually, most atheist people are considered more intelligent. No offense to religious people!
