Yes and No. Yes because Religion do causes War but not all War are because of Religions. It's mostly on Politic and Economy.
The War in Iraq isn't because of Religion. It's because of Oil.
Afghanistan is because of Religion although not a lot people sure about it.
But if you look at it from what happen from late 20th Century to 21st Century. It's all because of Politic and not Religion.
But then, Religion also got some effect in Wars.
So, my answer is Yes. Religion do causes War.
