if the sun is made of fire and you need oxygen for fire to burn?
how come the sun is still lit when there is no oxygen in space?

Im not an Atheist but...hydrogen and helium combine to create a burning element. Stephen Hawkings is considered an oridnary man..not a God...and Jesus has never healed his believers of said illness. Please make better arguements."coritz" wrote:

ahhahaha i knew the science behind the questions i asked the sun is made of plasma and plasma doesn't need oxygen to burn steven haw kings disease is incurable for now science is only developing and for the record science and religion aren't oposites and that the greatest of sciences discoveries were from great christian believers? oh and an other thing atheists their is no proof we rot away like our old mortality or their is proof of an afterlife PEOPLE THE INTERNET IS A PLACE FOR PEOPLE TO SOCIALIZE NOT FOR RELIGIOUS ARGUMENTS christians don't want you to go to hell atheist think thats a waste of their time and they need to enjoy their only life. AND THATS JIM DANDY IF YOU THINK OUR GOD IS FAKE GOOD FOR YOU oh and to a christian side of an argument: you notice when you study other religion that aren't christianity your listen? but when it comes to the christian faith you just won't? my dad said that was proof god is real because the devil will only distract you form the true god.. meaning the true god is the god of the christian faith. and to the atheist side of the argument: everything that proves religion right is a coincidence their is no proof of anything. ____________________ now RULES if your losing and you back out either side takes it as a victory if your losing calling someone an idiot doesn't mean your right. it makes you a terrible person."AlphaT" wrote:

Whether science contradicts religious beliefs or not depends on the religious beliefs we're talking about. If someone believes Earth is only six thousand years old, science proves them wrong.
There isn't proof, a fact established through evidence, that there is an afterlife, we do know for a fact that our consciousness is caused by our brains, and everything points to our consciousness dying when our brains do.
Studies have shown that atheists, in general, know more than theists when it comes to religion, in general, that includes Christianity. Your father is wrong.
Your depict of the "atheist argument" is biased and incorrect.

I'm aware that most Christians don't believe that, but there are still plenty that do. If you add up the lifespan of everyone mentioned in the Bible's genealogies going down from Jesus being born sometime in early AD, then that equals about 6K. The only reason I brought up majorities was because Cortiz tried claiming that atheists had a hard time learning about Christianity, when in reality, we tend to know more about it than Christians."AlphaT" wrote:
