It's hilarious to me how people think Jesus has done so much for us, that he suffered so badly to help save us from an eternity. I have three things to say to this.  1. Crosses were a common method of capital punishment back then.  2. Jesus was there for 3 days before he got to go to heaven.  3. Prometheus. Prometheus was the Greek titan accredited with taking fire from the gods, and bringing it down to mortals. Do you know what his punishment was? He was bound to a rock, where an eagle came down everyday to eat his liver, which would also regenerate everyday.  Compared to this, Jesus just had a bad weekend. (hence the title)
