How Do You Know What To Believe When Reading The Bible?
I hear many many people say stuff like, "But it says this in the Bible so it must be true" or something similar to that.
How are you so sure that what you are reading in the Bible is the proper context in which God wants you to understand?
or .. if you didn't understand what that meant ^
How do you know that what you read and perceive from the Bible is contextually true?
P.S I would say, "Respect everyones beliefs" .. but of course that isn't going to happen!

Well, I dont really know what exactly your asking so I'll just try and answer the best I can
The Bible is not only the Holy Book of God, it's also in some ways, a very historically accurate book. It dates back as far as time itself.
Even other kinds of books written by Romans or Greeks around the time period of Jesus Christ acknowledge that there was a Jesus and they support all the things in the Bible.
And last of all, if you are a true and faithful Christian, you should believe the book that God has given to you. I mean, he wrote it through his disciples. He wrote the Bible. If God, who created everything, wrote a book....you have to believe its true.
Why would he lie to you?

Ok honestly the thing is, people don't know what to believe in the bible, at least I think so. It just up to you to believe if you really want to. No one really knows what to believe. But even God said that it is ok to have your doubts, He wants to remain a mystery

The unfortunate thing that people don't see, is that things that applied in society over 2000 years ago do not apply in society today.
