The same question still applies. Why create a place of eternal torture in the first place? What would an omnipotent, benevolent creature need one for?

I'm sure he could figure out a way to permanently destroy the souls of sinners.

Your backtracking. I have already stated its not made for the souls of sinners, but for sin itself...you shall be judged based on WHAT you have done and wether or not you accepted Jesus....you have accepted sin, knowing the difference between right and wrong and choosing wrong...which is the price of that place.

That still does not answer the question. An omnipotent deity could just have sin disappear when the sinner dies. But instead, he chooses to create a place of eternal anguish to store it.

It makes no sense.

He cant make it disappear....only acceptence of the death of a man in whole, to take the offering, and fully God, to wash the sin away...can take away sin. Those who make a mark against God, will recieve the oppisite of God, h-e-hockeysticks.

Look, They do not mean the same thing. Sin is foreigen of God....i.e. God cannot destroy it. So you might think he is not omnipotent. Omnipotent means you have complete control of everything. Sin is beyond the boundary of God's Creation...but God can redeem sin through acceptence of Jesus Christ. And if you argue that "Why then do we accept Jesus?"....a fully human had to be there to take the price of sin (Death)  to be fit for humanity.

Even if we drop the omnipotency aspect of God, at least you can agree that he should be omniscient. And if he is, he knew that man would fail to resist the temptation to taste from the tree of forbidden knowledge, yet he did nothing. So in essence, God is the reason we have sin, and then punishes us for it.

In fact, we could go even further and claim that God made us capable of sin in the first place. If he had made us infallible, Eve would never have fallen prey to the temptations of the serpent.

This isn't about religion, it's about a basic understanding of language.

Omnipotent directly translates to all powerful. They mean literally the exact same thing.

It's like me telling you that blue and azul are two entirely different concepts because one is in another language.
