DO YOU WANT TO GO TO THE MOON?
Are you between the ages of 14 and 18?
Spend 172 hours on the moon base at DARLAH 2
Dear *Insert Your Name Here*,
It is our great honor to inform you that you have been selected from among millions of teenagers to participate as a crewmember on the spaceship Ceres's expedition to the moon in July 2019. The journey will take you and three (or five) young people on a historic trip to the Sea of Tranquility on the near side of the moon, where first astronauts - Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin - landed in 1969. The expedition will take fifteen days, including a seven-day stay at moon base DARLAH 2. Prior to that, NASA would like to invite you and your immediate family to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, for a three month-long training program. All expenses for this program of course will be paid for.
We ask that you take the next few days to make sure that this trip is something you would like to be a part of. It will more or less change your life forever. We ask that you discuss this thoroughly with your parents or guardians, as their full consent is required.
A NASA representative will contact you in the next week to obtain your response to this invitation. You and your parent(s) or guardian(s) must carefully read and sign the attached confidentiality agreement prior to this call, as this news must remain strictly in confidence before public announcement.
We congratulate you again on winning.
Respectfully yours,
Dr. Paul Lewis
NASA Administrator
Plot
Four (or six) teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18 have somehow entered a lottery to be accompanying the first trip to the moon since the seventies. You might have entered yourself to get away from your life on earth, maybe for fun, or maybe your parents entered you against your will. Whatever the cause, you are going to the moon on a fifteen day trip and will be spending a week on the moon base DARLAH 2.
Plot Twist
There is a reason that NASA stopped sending people to the moon shortly after Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong came back. This is part of the reason you, as a teenager, have been chosen to go the moon. No one known has seen the dark side of the moon, you may have noted, and there is a reason for this.
Characters
I want either four or six characters, genders of the same number.
Characters cannot be from the same country as another character. First come first served.
Do not have names similar to another character’s name. Same statement applies.
Forms
Name: (first, middle, and last)
Age: (between fourteen and eighteen)
Looks: (I would prefer to have human pictures)
Country: (any country you want, as long as another player hasn’t chosen it first)
Personality: (only two or three traits – no descriptions please – the roleplay can always elaborate)
Family: (parent(s)/guardian(s) (and sibling(s)) since they will be accompanying you to Houston)
Other: (anything else you want to add, namely hobbies and other things that will set your character apart from the other)
Your character’s past can be learned throughout the roleplay.
Rules
Ask to join.
Try to include everyone.
Do not go too long with only two people.
While I allow basic romance, no pregnancy (or intimate acts) is/are permitted.
Any questions should be directed towards me.
No swearing, because I hate those stinking hashtags.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR APPLICATION.
