Artemis looked over at Parker with concern on his face.  "You do not look so well.  Do you want me to help you"?

Parker growled softly, as he was only half awake.

Maia rolled her eyes, " don't be so conceded and sure, Artemis. And isn't Artemis a goddesses name? " she recalled thoughtfully. She dismissed the thought and frowned, " but can you, for once, let other people handle it themselves? I don't think Parker feels too good about being helpless. " she said hotly

Kat turned and looked at Artemis and Maia.  "As much as i dont want to say it, i agree with Maia.  She has a point."  She said, pushing her hair out of her face.  She looked into the trees, her eyes alert for any movement.

Parker groaned as he pushed himself up to his hands and knees.. He rubbed his head and sat down with a grunt. He glared at Artemis, not saying a thing

Artemis sighed.  Here we go.  "Artemis merely means 'the hunter'.  Although I rarely hunt, I am known for sneaky-like behaviour.  About the thing you said.  Why can I just not mind my own business & leave him on his own?  Now, that you mention it, Parker is a wolf...well, part wolf.  I assume I should not act like an Omega.  Well, since you seem befuddled about my behaviour  I assume I should go back to the den.  Adieu, mes amis".  Artemis was heading for the exit with a smile on his face & for a long time, it was a fake smile.

Parker grunted at his remark about ranks. he leaned back, his shoulder burning a bit. He remembered, best he could what he had heard Artemis say to create the flare. His mind raced to understand why Artemis would do cause the flare in the first place. He healed him, saved him from dieing, only to wound him once more?

Artemis cursed.  "That flare should have got someone's attention.  Oh well, I will try again with something a little more harmless".  He whistled, sending a falcon diving toward him & landing on his arm.  "Send medical help this instance...from a friend, of course, not a total human stranger .  The falcon nodded & flew off.  Artemis smiled.  "Parker, I assume you are wondering about my strange behaviour ..unless you want a long story, I refuse to tell you.  There is also a highly likely chance that you will be bored with me showing you. Oh well, it is your choice". He hid a smirk, replacing it with a warm smile.

Parker watched Artemis and the brid and growled quietly when Artemis turned to talk to him. "Do I really want to know?" He asked, gruffly.
