Eight teenagers survive a fire that wipes out everyone and everything in their mysterious community, leaving a pile of rubble. The explosion was caused by a group of people called 'The Peace Makers They don't like the mysterious community because of the fact that everyone who lived there had a special power. Only eight teenagers are left, and they must fight for their survival and freedom. The Peace Makers are out to find them and run tests on them and experiments. Can they escape?

Stef - A girl with dirty blonde short hair and lots of freckles. She is funny, friendly and very nosy. Aged 13.
Quane- A mature boy with black hair and a crooked, but nice smile. Aged 16.
Ricky- A funny boy, good sense of humor, clown of the group. Mussy brown hair and blue eyes. Aged 14.
Alice- A stuck up girl, beautiful features, long eyelashes, obsessed with her appearance, rich, posh, snobby, stubborn, friendly once you get to know her, funny, smart, streetwise. Aged 14.
Ray- A boy obsessed with his appearance, snobby, stuck up, annoying, thinks he's amazing, vain, loves himself. Aged 15. Hates Irene. 
Irene- a tough, tomboy girl, fluent in sarcasm, great at telling lies, rubbish at girl language. Hates Ray. Aged 15. 
Kazuo- A mature, friendly, kind, charming boy with black hair and a good smile. Aged 15.
Jack- Stef's best friend, funny, kind, sarcastic, sweet, annoying. Aged 13.

One minute, everything was calm. Waves, drifting in and out, the sun beaming down on Alice's angelic face. Then came the fire. The storm. The destruction. On her perch, alone, feet swinging over the edge of the cliff, Alice could see the people, shouting and running. She could see the Peace maker's plane, swooping above and dropping bombs. But most of all, she could see the flames. The raging fire. She tried to run, to get off the cliff, but the heat drove her backwards and she felt herself slipping. She grabbed the rock for a hold but felt herself falling into the murky depths of the water below. And then there was black.
