Zabrina removed her gaze from Demetri, a mixture of frustration and disgust displayed in her expression. "I've told you a thousand times - stay out of my head!" she snarled, watching his intense eyes without fear. "I'm just trying to protect you!" Demetri snapped back, his violet eyes stronger in their colour in the sunlight. "You're being foolish, Zabrina. You're going around kissing some guy you barely know who wants to avenge the murderer of his wife!" he growled, clenching his fists firmly. "I know what's in his heart", Zabrina argued, frustrated further as Demetri rolled his eyes in return. "Come back to the camp", he muttered, grabbing hold of Zabrina's wrist as he pulled her back into the right direction. "Let go of me!" she hissed, revealing her knife from her belt as a threat. Demetri knocked the knife from her hand and grabbed her again this time, accidentally knocking her head against a post as she struggled. He slung her limp body over his shoulder in silence. I'm your guardian. Trust me.
