The scratch of the pillow beneath her head became known to Fay. Her eyelids slid open to reveal her greenish grey eyes that were smothered with a morning fog. Using her palms, Fay pushed herself to a sitting position. She looked around the room wearing a glare, as she did every morning. In a matter of three seconds Fay stood halfway across the room prying a tangle from her messy dark brown hair. She slipped out of the boxer shorts and camisole she had slept in the previous night and into a black t-shirt and skinny jeans. After a few more minutes of preparation Fay pushed open the door of the dorm. Of course her older brother Oliver stood on the other side of the door with a genuinely bright smile spread across his face that Fay was tempted to smack off. "Good morning" He laughed in his usual sing-song voice that most could listen to for hours. "Morning" Fay replied with a grunt that suggested she was going to murder him if he didn't cool down. "Rough night?" Oliver asked as he pulled together his eyebrows. Fay shrugged and pushed past him.
