"What do you think is holding you back?" My best friend, Iris asked, hugging me. "No idea.." I whispered tears in my eyes. After a few hours I made it home and I placed my hand on her back gently, sighing. "I'm sorry." I whispered. I took off my jacket then I laid down, pulling the blankets over me and closing my eyes, falling asleep.

I was asleep when she got home, didn't hear her or feel her. When I woke up, all the blankets were on her side, and I shivered as I got out of bed, silent. This happened everytime we tried, one of us had something wrong. So, I decided not to try anymore... I sat down in the shop, behind the counter, with one leg crossed over the other. I looked up as Grandma slid a handful of folded dollars towards me,"Go shopping, wake up Artemis, get some clothes." I sighed, but smiled, only because she was smiling at me. I shook my head,"I will go alone,"I whispered softly, soon leaving by myself.

Iris came over after I woke up and we hung out, practicing spells and such. She was a witch too. She had a tattoo on her shoulder of a raven. So now we had loud music on, dancing with each, laughing our butts off.

I had no luck shopping, not by myself anyways. I got two pairs of regular jeans, a few new tanktops, but not enough to go through the hundreds of dollars that Grandma gave me. When I walked into the shop, music was everywhere, and Grandma rolled her eyes when she saw my face, giggling lightly,"Artemis and her girlfriend Iris are upstairs...." I felt myself die a little bit on the inside, and I set my shopping bags down, nodding,"I'm going for a walk then..."

Iris had to leave after a while and she hugged me. "See us later." She said softly. "Yeah." I replied. She walked out and I sat on the bed, running my fingers through my hair.

I sat at a park for a few hours, on the swing, on a bench, by the fountain... Just kind of moving around, and I decided it was time to go back after it got dark. I walked into the shop, the door chiming behind me. The shop was closed, and all the lights were off, so I walked upstairs.

"Nothing, just a long day,"I said quietly, and politely. I didn't want to fight with anyone, about anything. I set my jacket on the bed and shook my head, my hair swishing this way and that before I walked out of our room.

I sighed, shaking my head. I knew she was lying. I laid down in bed and took out my phone, texting Iris. Somethings wrong with Caroline.. She won't ttell me though.. I sent.
