Okay so most of you should know what the Mortal Instruments is...... It's too much to explain but ill give a little.... if you still don't understand then look it up XD Research!

Okay, so there are the mundanes (humans), the monsters (vampires, werewolves, faeries, forsaken, warlocks, ect.), and the Shadowhunters. Shadowhunters are people who aren't exactly human. They have special abilities (no, not magic!). All Shadowhunters have a weapon and they use something called Marks to heal themselves (if a mundane or monster gets a mark then they eventually die in about ten minutes). They can also use Marks to open things and lock things. Also, they use Marks to strengthen themselves. In fact, before a battle or adventure, Shadowhunters will mostl likely cover themselves in Marks. Shadowhunters overpower mundanes and monsters. But, mundanes know nothing about Shadowhunters or monsters.Shadowhunters keep the monsters in line.
Monsters: I think you know what monsters are. Except, light hurts vampires.
Mundanes: They're humans. Basically, they are the weakest species! If a mundie finds out about Shadowhunters and monsters, it could lead to a war. Now, mundanes cannot see monsters or shadowhunters. But, if a Shadowhunter tried hard to be noticed and got rid of the glamour on themselves, a mundie could see them.

The caven: They are basically the Shadowhunter council!
The Silent Brothers: They are always silent but have the power to speak in your mind and search your memory or past. Their mouths are sewed shut! Yeah, disgusting, right?
