I want to be a nutritionist one day, so from educating myself I know a fair bit about healthy foods. for example, one of the healthiest meats in the world is kangaroo."iMuffin" wrote:
Well, I suppose it would be good if we had a much more clear view on what was put into our foods. Do you have any knowledge on the worlds most popular, healthiest meals/foods.

yeah, it's available in australian supermarkets. it tastes really good! It's got about as much iron and protein as beef with only as much calories and fat as fish. Which brings us to sushi! Of course, sushi is vinegared rice with other ingredients (called neta) the most common Neta is sashimi. (raw fish) Which is why people often confuse sushi and sashimi. It all depends on the neta, of course, as to how healthy that particular piece is, . Raw fish being the most common neta Typically there is far more white rice than neta, so it's important while grabbing something at a sushi bar or making sushi to balance it out with a bit more protein and vegetables (like sashimi and green soybeans to go with whatever you're grabbing. While very low in fat, sushi is about as high in calories and mcdonalds nuggets, but sushi is obviously higher in vitamins! Brown rice is a lot better for you than white rice, soy sauce is very salty (which can be quite bad for you) One table spoon has about 900 to 1000 milligrams of sodium (that's about half a days recommended intake) And some fish (like tuna) are very high in mercury (but that's only a real concern if you're pregnant, breastfeeding or still a toddler) All in all, If you balance out your meal I'd give it about... 80-85."iMuffin" wrote:
That was surprising. I didn't know that kangaroo was even edible, it was a great fun fact. I think that children should have more knowledge on the unhealthy things that are inside the foods that they eat. So changing the subject, a food that I quite enjoy is sushi. If you were to rate the health level using percentages (One hundred being healthy, one being unhealthy) what would you rate it?

Fact About Peanuts:-Dynamite is made with peanutsPeanut oil can be processed to produce glycerol, which can be used to make nitroglycerin, one of the constituents of dynamite. Note however, there are other processes that can be used to make dynamite without using peanuts at all.
