Is the person that doesn't like you reading and the person that doesn't like you singing, the same person? If so, get a new friend. One of the best traits someone can have is to be supportive, she sounds like the opposite of supportive. I'm sorry. You should do what you like, and not have to worry about what others think. For the war between your friends, stay out of it.

1 & 3- does she dislike it in general or just when you do it around her? 2- For those situations, my rules is not to get involved with their disputes. I expect people to respect that and not try to get me involved. If i am asked to choose a side, my rule is "ask me to choose and I will not choose you" (simply because it shows a complete lack of respect for my decision to not get involved. And even if I think that person is right in this instance, they are not who I would consider to be a good friend.)
