Jay looked around carefully before slipping into an abandoned store, the glass shattered and the doorframe torn off. He grimaced slightly at the horrible sight. Blood littered the floor where there was no rubble, and bones were strewn everywhere. But worse than that was the smell. He covered his nose with his shirt as he moved along through the aisles. There were still some canned food that the Adrakyl hadn't been able to eat, along with a few bottles of meds. He gathered them and stuffed them into his jacket pockets. When he felt like he had enough, he turned to leave. Agonizing pain ripped up his forarm and he cried out in pain as he turned to see one of the creatures with its teeth locked into his flesh. He stabbed it with a knife and it let go of him, crumpling to the ground. The wound was deep, to where you could almost see the bone. Jay, breathing heavily, ran out of the store and ran back to the house.
