A week later, I stood at work, border than usual. It was a Wednesday, meaning everyone was at work for the morning. I leaned on the counter with a sigh, looking around at the near empty diner.

I closed my eyes and yawned, waking up. I was so tired. I usually went to the cafe every morning to see Liz but I was just too tired this morning. So I texted her instead. Morning.. I sent.

Hi there. I sent. I already knew it. She never texted me in the morning unless she was telling me that she wasn't coming, and I shook my head, standing up and walking into the back kitchen. We hadn't been spending a whole lot of time together. I'd been working overtime for some extra cash, her music career was growing quickly... Sometimes we were to tired to see each other, which was the worst excuse in the world. I missed my girlfriend, but what could I do?

I can't come this morning.. I'm sorry.. I'm just so tired. I sent. I felt bad. I really missed Liz. We hardly ever see each other anymore. I felt like a horrible girlfriend.

Don't worry about it.... I have to get back before Cheif sees my phone. I'll talk to you later. It was true, if my boss saw my phone out, he wouldn't be very happy. HE was an old fart that didn't believe in technology, but he wasn't even here... I just didn't want to talk to her, plus, if she was tired, she should be sleeping.

Kay... I sent. I sighed and closed my eyes falling back asleep. About 2 hours later I woke up and looked at the time. It was half past noon. I got up and took a shower, then I got dressed. I sat down in front of the hotel, trying to figure out what I was going to do today.

[I'll be right back] I didn't go home after work, I sat on the empty beach, which had the random tourist here of there, the surfers out on the sea. I sighed quietly, and clenched the sand between my fingers, trying to think. I love Serneity, I really do... But, our relationship was so strained right now...

I knew I was hurting Liz... I could feel it. I wiped my tears and got up, walking back inside the hotel. sat on my bed and took out my phone. Will you come see me..? I sent.

Yeah, sure! I'm just down the right, be there soon. I stood up out of the sand and cleared the stray pieces off of my. I picked up my purse and walked up the road to her hotel, which was fairly close, and knocked on her door as I slid in my key card, opening it lightly,"Hellooo?"

I sat up and smiled at her as she walked in. "Hey love.." I said softly. I stood up and walked over to her, hugging her tightly and kissing her cheek. "I missed you.." I whispered.
