Lately I've been cutting alot, I've always worked not cutting as much, so my parents wouldn't find out. Then my so called best friend betrayed me and told my parents everything. Luckily I hadn't told this "best friend" that I starve, and cut my thighs. My parents checked my wrists and are sending me to counseling. Just last night my dad asked why I wasn't eating as much lately, I told him that I just haven't been hungry. He asked If I was just doing this to fit in. I'm not, I just hate myself. What should I do? I'm trying to get to my goal weight, 100 pounds.

Slit my wrists, and skip dinner, i guess these things are what make me a sinner

Hey, I am going through the same exact thing as you right now. I know how it feels to have you 'best friend' tell your parents everything. Cutting? We do it just to feel something when we are empty. And starving? Trust me, I know. I have been doing this for over 9 months now. And the counsling? I have my first meet tomorrow.
Here is something that could help: Write your parents a long, long, LONG, note on how you feel and what you have been doing,  and why you feel this way, and give it to them. then have a talk with them. It helps them to know what you are going through and help them know how to help...
After they read the note, burn it. It helps release pain that you feel..
I hope I helped some

It's good that your friend cares about you enough to "betray" you and alert your parents to your extremely dangerous behavior. Starving yourself is the way to 'cheat' yourself to lose weight and is incredibly unhealthy for you as well.

“Mutual caring relationships require kindness and patience, tolerance, optimism, joy in the other's achievements, confidence in oneself, and the ability to give without undue thought of gain.”

She did betray me, she was only mad at me so she told them

Yeah, but how would you feel if you were beat down so many times, that you feel unimportant, and so you felt so empty, all you could do it starve and cut!!! Also, how would you feel if you only told your best friend and you didn't want anyone else knowing, but she told anyway!?!!!?!!! You wouldn't feel so great know would you!!! This girl is going through a rough time and I understand it. So let her be, okay?

Regardless, the motive doesn't matter.

I've heard this before, and my answer is the same. Her friend, even if she did it for reasons that came of anger, helped her. That's all there is to it.

Well, the thing is, she's just putting herself down. Trust me, one of my friends is going through the same problem; she's just overly emotional. There's no need to cut yourself, starve yourself, or want to commit suicide just because one little thing is going bad. It'll always get better. Besides, it's good that her friend told her parents; it shows that she cares about her. It's good to go to therapy too, since they can help out with depression and emotional problems. Her friend was doing her a favor, not 'betraying' her.

"You know what you are? Selfish. I've done nothing but sacrifice to get us here, and what have you sacrificed? Nothing. Zero. All you've done is boss me around - well now who's the boss? Who's the boss? It's me."
