I need help with an equation on my homework sheet. 3 - 2t = 5 - 5t It should be easy enough, but for some reason my brain won't work it out.

3 - 2t = 5 - 5t First you want to get the variables to one side. So you can choose by either adding 2t or adding 5t. I'll add 2t to each side, which gives you 3 = 5 - 5t + 2t Add -5t and 2t. It's -5t because it has subtraction, in case you were wondering. 3 = 5 - 3t Minus 5 from both sides -2 = -3t Divide by -3. You should get t = 2/3.
