There was man who was looking through the window and decided he was tired of this, he decided to jump through the window while he was on the 43rd story.
He did so and survived... How so? Note: He cannot be hurt in the process.

Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate.

He could have been on a veranda and have jumped into the building through the window. It doesn't say that he jumps out the window so it is possible. He could also be a window washer and be standing on a platform before he goes through the open window. I don't know if this the answer you're looking for, but think about it.
