Now I don't blatantly hate on Twilight for no reason, but it's a book series that greatly bugged me when I had to read it for school. (Yes, we read Twilight.) Anyway, I just feel like there's a substantial lack of non-stereotypical character evolution. Romance between humans and vampires is indeed difficult - but I feel like the conflict chosen wasn't very befitting. They're vampires, there's a dark undertone to their beings that wasn't manipulated and used as much as it could have been. Also imprinting a baby is just awkward in my eyes.
But then it's a teenage romance novel thingy so I guess it works for the target audience. It just scares me when you see adult women swooning over every aspect of it.
