(continued from my previous story post)
About an hour later, Zakk and I were left sifting through the sales at a local boutique. Crystal had had to leave because of a “Family emergency, or something.”
"What you looking for?" Zakk asked, coming up behind me.
I smiled and just shrugged my shoulder.
"Just looking." I turned round, but Zakk wasn't there. Not Zakk no, but, Theo, his older brother. Unlike Zakk, who was tall and fair, Theo was dark and very short for his age.
"How's it hanging, sweetie?" He leaned a shoulder against the wall. 'Ugh...' I thought. He was an utter idiot and had tried hitting on almost every girl from the 8th grade and up, including me.
"What do you want?" I crossed my arms across my chest as I waited for his answer.
"What? I can't say hi to my bro's BFF?" He smirked stupidly.
"Yeah, whatever." I turned and tried to ignore him. "Jerk," I mumbled quietly. "Have you seen Zakk? He was here a second ago." I asked, but I still never looked at him as I said it.
"Aww, did your BFF ditch you? Poor you." He frowned and pulled a sarcastic pout.
"Yeah, I'm really sorry, but I've gotta go now. I'll tell Zakk you said hi." I told him before paying for a scarf and leaving the store.
As I walked into the street, I turned my head to both sides. 'Where is he?' I asked myself. As I began walking, a hand landed on my shoulder. I groaned.
"Theo, for the last time, I- Oh, Zakk." I grinned, thankful it wasn't who I thought it was. "Where've you been? I've just had to suffer through a 5 minute ordeal with your "big" brother" I droned. A corner of Zakk's mouth lifted as I told him of my horrid experience.
As I finished, he handed me a paper bag.
"What's this?" I took the bag from him. As I went to open it, he snatched it from my hands.
"No, no-no. Don't open it till you get home." He slowly handed it back to me. "And, I have spies every where, so I'll know if you
do." He joked, shaking a finger at me. I laughed.
"Ok, but what's it for?"
"Happy birthday." He grinned.
"Huh? My birthday isn't for another week." He just shrugged his shoulders and lifted an eyebrow. "Like that would bother you. You'll love it, but just don't kill me when you open it." He joked, (I hoped).
"Right, I'll text you when I'm home. Bye!" I called as we parted, walking in different directions.
When I got home, I ran upstairs and flung my shoes under my bed.
I opened my early birthday present and pulled out a shoebox. 'No, he didn't!' I screamed in my head. I knew what these were. I'd wanted them for months! I opened the box slowly, holding my breath.
"Omigosh!" I screamed! The very knee high converse boots I had begged my mum for since they came out. They were the exact same red wine colour as my new dress, too. "How did he payed for these? They cost more than $100!" I couldn't believe it.
"Oh, Zakk" I spoke to the empty room. "I love them."
Whaddyou think? I know it drags on a bit, but hopefully there'll be more up later. Please comment!

You know what "Normal" is? A setting on a washing machine. No one wants to be that.
