Hey guys, I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm going to try to get the next chapter up today. I'm sorry for the wait, but I've been having some really bad writer's block on this story. The next chapter might not be too good, but I've got a lot of plans for the next few upcoming chapters! I really hope you guys like this, and please let me know what you think when I post the next chapter. Feedback is always appreciated wether it's good or bad.

( I finally wrote the next chapter! Sorry it took so long!) Chapter 11: I Dislike You    Kelsey continued to stare at the wall across from her. Drew and her were still sitting in the same position they had been for almost an hour. It was growing ever darker by the minute. "We should probably go ahead and go to Ryan's house. It's getting kind of late," Kelsey suggested, turning her head to Drew.    He nodded his head in agreement, and pushed himself off the ground. He brushed his hands off on his pants before offering one to Kelsey to help her up. She hesitated before reluctantly grabbing it, and let him pull her up. She snatched her hand away quickly as soon as she was on her feet. She saw Drew give her a wierd look from the corner of her eyes, but she continued walking towards the entrance of the alley where he had pulled her in. She may have believed him, but she still didn't trust him. "Just meet me at Ryan's. It may take me a little while, but don't go in until I get there."    "I can drive you. He lives on the other side of town," Drew insisted, gesturing to a Ford Taurus that was parked on the side of the street.     It was a long way, and this wasn't the safest area in town by far. So, she came to the conclusion that riding with Drew was better than getting who knows what done to her by some stranger on one of the back roads. "Fine," she mumbled and made her way over to the car. She jumped a little as Drew showed up beside her and opened her door. "Uh, thanks." She climbed in slowly and closed the door herself before he could. Drew laughed lightly and shook his head from outside, causing Kelsey to roll her eyes. She quickly buckled her seat as Drew settled into the driver's seat beside her.    Most of the car ride was very quiet. Kelsey awkwardly messed with her nails, and stared out the window. Finally, she couldn't stand the silence any longer. "This is wierd," she announced, still staring out the window.    "Why is it wierd?" Drew asked, raising his eyebrows quizzically as they came to a stop at a red light. "It's wierd because you are the last person I thought I'd be riding in a car with."    Drew chuckled lightly. "You think this is wierd? Just wait until you show up at Ryan's house with me. Now that is going to be an interesting expierience."    Kelsey shot him an irritated look. "For your information, Ryan is a very understanding person. It's not going to be wierd," she said defensively. One thing she couldn't stand was when someone talked about her friends, no matter how vague. In reality, though, it mainly just made her mad coming from Drew. She had never really liked him even when Lauren was dating him. She just tolerated him for Lauren's sake. In Kelsey's opinion he was just like every other guy on the football team: stuck-up, self-centered, and rude. Drew raised his hands from the steering wheel. "I wasn't trying to say he wasn't understanding." "Keep your hands on the wheel!" Kelsey screeched, shoving his arm as if that was going to help. "Okay, okay! Geez, Kels. Don't be so uptight."    At this point she was pretty much on the verge of making him put her out of the car. "I am not uptight! I would just appreciate it if you would keep your hands on the wheel so we don't end up wrapped around a tree," she exclaimed through clenched teeth. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have-," he began, but Kelsey cut him off before he could go on. "Just don't talk, okay? You're giving me a headache." She closed her eyes and leaned her head back on the headrest, letting out a long sigh. She was really beginning to regret trying to help him.

Chapter 12: Convincing   Kelsey took a deep breath as the car began to bump along Ryan's gravel driveway. His quaint house came into view as she slowly opened her eyes, as if she wasn't really there if she couldn't see it. The engine turned off and she quickly opened her eyes all the way, but she didn't move. She made absolutely no attempt to get out of the car. She could see that Ryan's bedroom light was turned on so she knew that he was home.   "Well, are we going to go up there or what?" Drew questioned, turning towards Kelsey.   It was obvious, by the look on his face, that he was nervous, too. "You stay here. I should prepare him first. It might be a little overwhelming if you just show up at his doorstep," Kelsey reasoned. She slowly opened the car door and stepped out. The gravel crunched underneath her sneakers as she took each dreadful step. How would she tell him? Would he believe Drew's story like she did?   She knocked on the front door lightly. After a few seconds of waiting she knocked a little louder. Still there wasn't any sound coming from inside the house. Kelsey turned her head towards the car where Drew was waiting. He raised his eyebrows, and Kelsey shrugged in response. Then, the door swung open quickly and Ryan was in the doorway. "Kelsey! I haven't heard from you in almost three days! Where have you been?" He quickly opened his arms, and engulfed her in a long hug. So maybe the whole 'I love you' thing did mean something. Now wasn't the time to think about it, though.   Kelsey let out a sigh of relief. Partly because she was glad that he was home, and also because he didn't notice Drew's car in the driveway. She stepped to the side to make sure that she was blocking Ryan's view of the driveway. "My phone hasn't really been working. Things are just kind of crazy. I'm sure you understand." She was doing her best to stall. She wasn't looking forward to telling Ryan about Drew.   Ryan shifted his position, leaning on the doorframe. Kelsey quickly stepped over again to block his view. He gave her a wierd look. "What are you doing?" He tried to look over her shoulder, but Kelsey quickly stood on her tiptoes, and lightly pushed Ryan back. "Ryan, I need to talk to you about-"   It was too late at this point. Ryan had already seen the car, and there wasn't much she could do about it now. He pushed past Kelsey but thankfully only made it to the bottom of the stairs. "What is he doing here? Did he hurt you? If he did I swear I'll kill him," Ryan questioned. Kelsey had never seen Ryan so angry at someone. It actually kind of scared her to see his eyes look so mad. She quickly glanced over to the car where Drew sat; wide-eyed. He had one hand clutching his seatbelt, and the other on the steering wheel. He was obviously prepared to get out of there if Ryan got too upset. For some wierd reason Kelsey suddenly felt protective over Drew.  "No, Ryan, he didn't hurt me. He didn't hurt anybody," she spouted out quickly.   Ryan furrowed his eyebrows, looking back and forth from Kelsey to Drew. Finally he landed his gaze back on Kelsey. He just stood there for a minute with a look of pure confusion on his face. "What are you talking about?"    Kelsey sighed and leaned her head back. "Look, you probably aren't going to believe me at first. I didn't believe it, either, but just listen to what we have to say. Drew says that he didn't kill Lauren, and I believe him. I know that it's going to take more convincing than just that, so I want you to just stay calm and listen to what he has to say. I think you might change your mind if you here his story."   Ryan scoffed, shaking his head. Kelsey watched as he ran a hand through his curls, and she could see that his hand was trembling. "I can't believe you're going to let this-this idiot manipulate you! I thought you were smarter than that, Kelsey," he spoke quietly. She could tell that he was doing his best not to scream. He was definitley really angry at this point. She could tell because he never called her Kelsey. He always called her 'Kels' even if he was irritated with her.   She grabbed his arm and made sure to look him straight in the eye. "Ryan, I need you to trust me. I'll be satisfied as long as you just listen."   Ryan rubbed his jaw as he contemplated his decision. After a few minutes he crossed his arms across his chest. "Fine. I'll hear what he has to say, but that doesn't mean I'm going to believe him." Kelsey nodded her head quickly. "That's all I ask." Ryan began walking up the steps to his house, and Kelsey gestured for Drew to follow them.
