Chapter 1
Today Mum dumped my hero. My Dad. I have no explanation for it and I don't know how it all happened. Whenever I ask, I just get the same answer 'Not now darling. It is personal and you won't understand.' I am sick and tired of it. It is like I get treated like a small speck of dirt; kicked around from place to place. Now Mummy has been acting strange and is always on her phone either texting or laughing to this made person, I don't like it but I guess she just doesn't care about me any more.
I woke up. She was on her phone for the millionth time this week. Every night she is out with what she calls 'a work friend' but I don't think it is. Secretly, I think she is with this man from her work place... I sometimes turn to my own fantasy world and try to block her out however, Mum always seems to creep into them and she is with this person whom I have never heard of. I have disliked Mother for awhile now and I was usually found hanging around my Dad - Charlie. I am not even aloud to mention his name in our household, if I do, I get punished and sent to bed with no dinner. I am an emotional wreck and it is terrible having to face my friends tomorrow for school, the first day back when everyone wants the latest gossip on family life. I can't face them. I just can't. What am I going to do?
