Skittles, small and scuttling,
I pick you up so gently touching
your soft bottom shell and stubby short tail-
You're a girl, Skittles, so fierce yet so cute,
Your tiny claws used to protect you,
You tuck your tiny head in your smooth brown shell,
Playing peak-a-boo,
thinking i cant see you,
Into a bucket with water and rock i put you,
Wishing i could forever keep you.
