The person is depressed and their eyes are burning from crying.

The person is hurting physically from crying and many sleepless nights.

They feel cold on the inside and like they are slowly dying.

"You soon feel the sun shine down onto your face.
And put on your mask so no one sees the disgrace."
After another sleepless night, it's finally morning. The person puts on a "mask" (smile, acting/looking happy.) because they don't want people to see how they really are out of fear of being judged, seen as weak, etc.

"You set aside your pain and the terrible fright.
And are thankful that you made it through another night."
They pretend for the whole day like they arent hurting and they arent afraid (their mask) and they're thankful that they managed to make it through another night.
