GAY MARRIAGE SHOULD BE ALLOWED!!!! People that say gay and lesbian people are gross, wierd, stupid, etc. disgust me. C'mon, let people live their OWN lives!!! It's just like discriminating race! People don't like people just because they're different. Who cares if "god says this, god says that!' I am atheist. If you believe in God, know that God does NOT know everything!! What was said about gays in the Bible was in the Old Testament, where the main focus for God was bestowing His wrath upon those He had created. However, when He sent Jesus down as a form of Himself to spread peace, His main focus was to show love and compassion to the people. Thus, the New Testament. He was entirely different in the New Testament than in the Old Testament, as He is entirely different now. In the New Testament, as far as I know, there was nothing speaking wrongly of gays or a man treating another man as if he were a woman.

HOWEVER.

I don't even know what God thinks, so for all I know he could hate gays or not have a problem with them.

They're still human.

There were New Testament passages condemning homosexuality. 

Also, there are passages that very heavily imply the Old Testament is still valid.

Owlgirl, I totally agree. I don't understand why people judge gay people, I mean why? There's nothing wrong with being gay, you're no different from a regular straight person. I seriously don't know why it's so 'frowned upon', I mean come on, love is love no matter what gender or age.

I don't really have a problem with gay people. My band teacher is really awesome and funny and he's gay. Point is, we should certainly tolerate and accept gays. Christians are supposed to be tolerant people and not ostracize people for their s.########. I am straight and would never be lesbian myself, as it should be, but if people are gay, so be it.
