My teacher did bring up why some people argue that people can discriminate against others/deny the same rights to others because of their sexual orientation. He says that one argument is that because some people believe homosexuality is a choice, those rights aren''t necessarily protected. The same cannot be done to someone because of something that isn''t their choice (gender, religion, race, etc.). Well, I was really surprised when I heard him say that religion is still protected under all this. I was surprised because religion is a choice. I was brought up Catholic, but that doesn''t mean I can''t become a Buddhist or Jewish or something.
So if being a homosexual doesn''t guarantee you the same rights that being black or white or a woman does, then why should being Catholic/Jewish/whatever??
Again, sorry if it''s obvious that I don''t have much or even any knowledge on the subject, we haven''t touched on this yet and I really don''t read into this as much as I should.

Its been such a long time,
I think I should be goin'',
And time doesn''t wait for me,
It keeps on rollin'',
Theres a long road,
I''ve gotta stay in time with,
I''ve got to keep on chasin'' that dream,
Though I may never find it,
I''m always just behind it...
