Bombing japan was to end a war no to say that it wasn't terrible but it's true. Attacking america did not end a war only start one.

The Japanese attacked us because we put so many embargoes on them and controlled their economy and refused their rights as a legitimate country. America was a bully, and they got slapped back. Similar to Nine-Eleven.

I'm talking about that as well. Truman did it to warn everyone else not to mess with the United States - that and FDR was actually planning to do it, but he kicked the bucket. Once we got out of Germany, we had the full force of the allies to bear down on Japan. We could have fought a bit longer and annexed them, but Truman didn't want that.

Now I have to channel my inner nationlist. OKay. Listen Japanese forces had faith in thier sea power after invading Korea. They were traitors to America after they said we were friends with us.Then Peral Harbor.  Ya know they gave us pins and medals of treaty and peace? And do you know  sence of irony? We put the peace medals on the Atom Bombs so we could return the favor.

If we hadn't been so self-assured and controlling of a nation just coming out of isolation (forced out of isolation by us, actually) we wouldn't have had them get angry and bomb us. We were cheap to them, they were cheap to us.  It's karma in the most literal sense, what goes around, comes around. America is a nation that needs a good slap in the face every so often, because we get too confident in ourselves.
