If you honestly believe that children should be allowed to vote, you have problems. Children do not have a fully developed brain to rationalize things and decide for themselves. Most children here are probably "X" because their parents are "X" and have forced those "X" beliefs onto their children. I really doubt children would be able to understand what they see on CNN. They'll see Obama and be like "This guy looks cool. I'll vote for him."....just WAIT. Every generation is smarter than the next. Once you can vote, you will be able to rationalize much better than your past generations.

Okay, I admit I do not like the things our President has done, (not that my opinion really matters at age 11) but seriously? Kids voting is not a good idea. Politics through my eyes: A bunch of old guys arguing. It's more than that, yes, but that is the reason kids should not vote. We don't fully understand politics, and it would be a horrible mess if we voted.

Let's just keep everything where it is for the time being. I have some people in my freshman honors English class that groan when they have to read ten pages of work, I can't imagine them reading through things that politicians want to pass or stuff like that. Eighteen is a good number.

I agree that kids should be able to vote - but their vote needs to be explained or approved by parents.
However, even adults may not take politics seriously.
